MindManager and Social Networking Systems
Over the past few years, a class of web-based applications has emerged that aims to take advantage of the strength of weak ties (as first written about by Mark Granovetter) between people:

Would these system benefit from an integration with MindManager? What could MindManager add to the visualizaiton's that these systems provide?

Comments:
Although LinkedIn shows you are connected it doesn't do it visually.
Perhaps the MM Map could perform that task showing "You" in the center and the relationship of others. Only thing is I wonder of the central topic/tree map model is a viable format

Best wishes

Andreas

I use MM X5 Pro for my Ph.D dissertation in 4 ways : (a) as a CMS (b) as a analyser tools in replacement of Atlas-ti (c) as a publishing tools for Web pages, PPT and Word (d) as an intermediary social network analysis tool in complement to UCINET and NetMiner.

(Pleased apologize my english)

MM X5 help me to combined qualitative and quantitative approaches.

I think that it will be terrific if MM integrating graph theory.

Also, I combine concept map and social network = knowledge network (Contractor, 2002)

I remain available to more extensive discussion.

P.S I mind mapping since 1985 and use Mind Manager since 1995.

Regards, Diane

In architecture, a charette is a quick design process.

Name:Michael Scherotter
Location:Fairfax, California, United States

I was educated as an architect but I found my passion in software architecture and development. Many skills that I have learned in my architectural education have enabled me to excel at designing, building, and explaining software systems:

  • The ability to change scales and my point of view from the micro to the macro.
  • The ability to think in three dimensions and draw what I am visualizing.
  • The ability to organize and manage complex projects and systems.
  • Lateral thinking and creative problem solving.
